LaVaque Tweezers + Giveaway Reminder

In the past year, I've had at least four horrible eyebrow waxing experiences. One person used wax that was so hot I got blisters on my face! Another girl nearly waxed off half my eyebrow on accident. As my wedding approaches, I've been ultra-conscious about avoiding any potential disasters that could ruin my wedding pictures, so I've resorted to tweezing.

Some of the first tweezers I used were so rounded at the tips that you couldn't tweeze precisely, and they didn't really grab onto your hair. Luckily, I think I've managed to find some of the best tweezers around- LaVaque.

Standard Slanted Tweezer

I have had the best experience with LaVaque's standard slanted tweezers. I would say they're highly comparable to the quality of Tweezerman tweezers but at a better price point.The tip is slanted and goes to a point (don't worry- it's not sharp!) which makes precise tweezing so much easier. In addition, all of their tweezers have a no questions asked lifetime guarantee. LaVaque also has adorable swarovski and diamond tweezers! 

LaVaque's tag line is definitely accurate :)

LaVaque Crystal Nail File

I also tried LaVaque's crystal nail file, and I think it's a really good product. The double-sided crystal surface is long-lasting and will last for years, but it's also a non-porous material, so the crystal nail files can be sanitized! I think the crystal nail files are a great deal at only $5.99 considering how long they'll last and their superior quality!

Overall, I am highly satisfied with my slanted tweezers and crystal nail file! I would definitely repurchase these products, but I don't think I'll ever need to because they're so sturdy and there's a lifetime guarantee!

With only 24 days left until my wedding, I am in full last-minute emergency shopping mode. For the past few months, I've been focusing on invitations, favors, and menus, and I completely forgot about shopping for the week before the wedding and honeymoon outfits. With nearly a month left to shop, this may not seem like a big problem, but I am an extremely picky shopper- especially with shoes. L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Review + Giveaway! {closed}

L'Oreal's Infallible Le Rouge 10 hour lipsticks are supposed to provide 10 hours of bold colors without the dryness normally associated with long-wear lipsticks due to a formula containing moisturizing Vitamin E and Ceramide 5. 

I personally think that the packaging is gorgeous. 

Perpetual Peach, Lingering Mocha, Refined Ruby, Enduring Berry, Forever Fuchsia

The lipsticks have L'Oreal carved into them- how cute! The five colors that I tried were all highly pigmented and went on smoothly. L'Oreal's Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks have a slight sheen, and they are all extremely long-lasting. I wore each of these shades all day, and the colors are so bright and fun. I have an obsession with constantly applying lip balm, lip gloss, and/or lipstick throughout the day, and I noticed that each time I went to reapply the lipstick, I didn't really need to. The color was still going strong hours later, and my lips weren't extremely dried out like with other long-wear lipsticks I've tried.

Aren't these colors gorgeous? Be sure to look at L'Oreal's website to see all of the 30 Infallible Le Rouge colors. There are some gorgeous nudes and pinks that I'm dying to try. 

These lipsticks are seriously long-lasting. My arm was stained from the swatches even after removing the lipstick with eye makeup remover and hand soap. The lighter shades obviously don't stain as much as the brighter/darker shades. I personally like the effect of stained lips after removing the brighter shades. I've found that applying lip balm before the lipstick does help prevent the staining, but it also decreasing the lipstick's staying power. I personally love the effect of pink stained lips after removing bright lipstick, but to each his own :) Overall, I really liked L'Oreal's Infallible Le Rouge 10 Hour Lipsticks, and I know you will too!

Wedding Wednesday: Skindinavia

I've been having a mini-heart attack every time that I think about my makeup for my upcoming wedding. I have naturally oily skin, and I'm getting married at the beach  in Florida in the middle of July aka the ideal conditions for having your makeup melt off of your face. Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day, and let's be honest, I'm paying a lot for wedding photography, and I want to look good in my pictures as well! After weeks of trying different products, I am so excited to say that I've found the product that is going to save my wedding AND Carribean honeymoon makeup :) 

Skindinavia's Bridal Makeup Finish is my miracle product. It's an extremely light mist that you wear over your makeup to set the finish and prevent your makeup from fading. It's hypoallergenic, paraben free, and it's tear and moisture resistant! In addition, it helps keep your makeup on throughout heat and humidity, and it keeps your makeup matte for photography!

The bottle says to spray 2-4 times just before applying mascara, but I've been spraying the product two times before I put my makeup on and two times after I put my makeup on. The mist is extremely light and refreshing, and I haven't experienced any breakouts while using this product. 

Skindinavia makes a lot of other finishing sprays for every skin type, but I've fallen in love with the Bridal spray for every day use! It's perfect for my oily skin, and I'm so impressed with how well it keeps my makeup from melting off. Throughout beach trips to Laguna Beach in 95 degree weather, workouts, and last-minute wedding errand marathons, my makeup stays in place all day. Skindinavia also makes the Urban Decay sprays, which are also great, but their Bridal formulation is not available from Urban Decay. 

I'd definitely recommend checking out Skindinavia's website to see all of the different finishing sprays in their line, so that you can find a spray custom-tailored to your skin's needs. I think Skindinavia's sprays are a must for all brides-to-be, and I think they'd be great presents for mothers and bridesmaids as well!
