My First Julep Maven Box!

So, do you remember when I signed up for Julep Maven last month? Well, I received my first box from the style "Classic with a Twist" last week, and I could not be more thrilled! I opened my box and found these beauties. The nail colors are gorgeous and are completely opaque in 2 coats. They applied really well and lasted around 2 days before they started chipping.

Full-Size Nail Polish in Carrie(Normally $14), Full Size Nail Polish in Alfre (Normally $14), Full-Size Facial for Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub(Normally $32), Full-Size Nail Strengthener (Usually sold in a set with another product for $46, so probably worth at least $15-20), and sample packets of Glycolic Hand Scrub and SPF 30 Hand Cream

Julep Polish in Alfre                             Julep Polish in Carrie

I received all of these gorgeous products that normally retail for somewhere around $75 for only $10! I'm actually jealous of anyone who's interested in starting this month because with the code FB you can get your introductory Julep Maven box plus free shipping for only $5.00, which is a ridiculously amazing deal considering how many full-size products I got! Even if you don't think you'll continue with the membership, getting over $70 worth of products for $5 is a fab deal in my opinion! I'm actually thinking of getting another one as a birthday gift for my friend! I also really like that Julep Maven shows you what's going to be in your box next month, so you can decide if you want to continue with your order, send it to a friend, skip a month, or ask for a new box selection.

Have any of you tried Julep Maven yet? Let me know if you've received your box- I'd love to see what the other style profiles recevied!

Inspiration for the Weekend

This is one of my favorite quotes. Every time I read it I get a little volt of inspiration for the week, so I thought I'd share it with my blog friends! Enjoy your Friday, girls :)

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

My Wedding: Before the Ceremony

No matter how many weeks, months, or years you've spent planning each and every detail of your wedding, there are so many things that remain out of your control- traffic, weather, other people, etc. I had made a decision early on in my wedding planning that no matter what happened on my wedding day, I would remain calm, happy, and peaceful so that I could enjoy every minute of the day. Yes, I could have stressed out that it was raining the entire day of my wedding with no signs of clearing up, but I just chose to smile and believe that everything happens for a reason. I really felt bad because my entire wedding party was in a state of panic about the rain because I was genuinely not concerned about the rain. I just knew that it was going to clear up. I just felt like everything was going to be perfect.

15 minutes before the ceremony began, I saw this through the window.

The weather had cleared up, and it was PERFECT. Not only had the rain stopped, but it had dropped the sizzling Florida heat to a more manageable level and cleared all of the footprints from the sand.

Gorgeous, right?

My beautiful bouquet

Closeup of my bouquet

In my family, it's traditional for the bride to carry the family Bible down the aisle along with the bouquet. My grandfather brought this Bible from Jerusalem for my mother, and it's now been passed on to me. I think it's so beautiful, and I can't wait to pass it down to my daughter.

My beautiful bridesmaids, me, and my gorgeous mom!

Let me tell you, this girl- my GORGEOUS cousin Michelle- was my rock the entire week of the wedding. She helped me finish so many last-minute tasks and kept me calm and smiling the whole week! I love her so much, and I wish she didn't live so far away in Canada. Be on the lookout for Michelle's new blog! She's a fashion/beauty/shopping genius, so I'll be sure to post a link as soon as it's up and running :)

Finally ready to get married!

All of the photography featured above is from the lovely Emily at Emily E Martin Photography. If you're planning a Florida wedding, I cannot recommend her services highly enough. Be sure to check out her website (Ryan and I are the first picture!), blog, and Facebook for more information. I can't wait to share the rest of my wedding day with you all! Let me know what you're interested in seeing- ceremony, reception, and details?
